The Marshall Society are excited to announce that we will be inviting 5 Cambridge students pursuing an MPhil/PhD pathway in economics-related subjects for a panel discussion event this Monday!!
🌟 What can you expect from this event? Our brilliant panellists will be discussing their motivations for pursuing academia further, their degree experiences so far, and their plans for the future. They’ll also be giving some advice for undergraduates interested in similar pathways, and answering any questions you might have about postgraduate studies.
The main panel event will then be followed by some networking and refreshments!

🔭 Bridgewater X Metaculus Global Forecasting Contest! 🔭
A reminder that Bridgewater Associates are partnering with Metaculus to host their second annual global Forecasting Contest, from 3rd February - 31st March 2025!!
Details of the competition are as follows:
🌟Predict the future on Metaculus
Participants will forecast on a wide-ranging set of topics, including Bitcoin prices and SpaceX launches.
🌟Compete for $25K in prizes
Bridgewater Associates will award $25,000 in prizes across two different leaderboards to the most accurate eligible forecasters.
🌟Explore a career at Bridgewater
The competition offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate forecasting abilities, which is a key skill for developing expertise as an investor. Last year, several of our Metaculus competitors chose to interview with us and were even given Internship offers!
🌟Competition begins on February 3rd 2025
The competition will run through March 31st – winners and prizes will be announced in April. All are welcome to compete.
